No appointments are necessary, however a written physician’s order is required
for all testing.
The full-service Clinical Laboratory & Pathology Department at Seton Medical Center utilizes state-of-the-art technology and methodologies to perform tests in hematology, coagulation, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, transfusion service, cytology, histology, and anatomical pathology. At Seton Medical Center, we believe that Caring is Powerful Medicine.
Our Clinical Laboratory & Pathology Department is accredited by the college of American Pathologists (CAP) – a peer review group in the pursuit of excellence in pathology. In addition, our laboratories are licensed by the State of California Department of Health Services and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Lab and department staff includes experienced, board-certified pathologists, licensed assistants, certified phlebotomists, client service representatives, and licensed histology and cytology technologists. In addition, a licensed clinical laboratory scientist staffs the clinical laboratory 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
